Eyebrow Embroidery Designs

Eyebrows are a woman’s most prominent facial feature. Beautifully sculpted brows frame the face and flatter the eyes. Eyebrow embroidery is a semi-permanent brow technique which embeds coloured pigments just beneath the epidermis surface of the skin using cutting-edge microblading technology. Using hair-like strokes, this brow-filling treatment creates fuller yet finer and more natural-looking, perfect brows.

What is the difference between Eyebrow Tattoo & Eyebrow Embroidery?

Eyebrow Tattooing is a brow technique that permanently embeds ink deep below the surface of your skin. Eyebrow Embroidery, on the other hand, is semi-permanent and pigments are only added to the most superficial layer of your skin, with minimal pain. Eyebrow tattoos are generally not recommended due to a comparably higher possibility of allergic reactions as the ink is deposited deeper below the skin’s dermis layer and an unnatural green discoloration in the eyebrows will surface over time.

What is the difference between all the eyebrow techniques?

Browtisan currently have 4 various eyebrow techniques to cater the diverse preferences from each client. We have summarised the differences in a table for easier comparison of each design’s key features.

Is eyebrow embroidery the same as Microblading?

Yes, the two terms have been used interchangeably in the brow industry as they mean the same thing--a process of depositing pigment into your skin using tiny needles. Microbladed brows aim to mimic your actual hairs to create a natural look, and this differs from other semi-permanent procedures like microshading.

How does 3D and 6D Microblading differ from each other?

The main difference lies in the technique. 6D microblading is newer and more complex as it uses ultra-thin needles and follows the direction and pattern of your hair growth, resulting in a more natural and precise look. 3D microblading, on the other hand, is done with the help of a machine and creates bold-looking brows, though the results are not as realistic-looking as 6D brows.

How long is each session?

First session will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours while subsequent touch up session require takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Is The Process Painful?

We are glad to share that because of the cutting-edge technology and tools used during the procedure, the process is relatively painless and any potential discomfort is kept to a minimum. Please let our Browtisans know of any special requirements or skin conditions such as skin sensitivity prior to commencing services so that we may accommodate your needs.

What do I need to take note of for pre-embroidery preparation?

An important thing would be to moisturize the area well prior to your embroidery session for the colors to be retained by your skin nicely.

How can I better take care of my eyebrow area after embroidery?

The after-care behavior for eyebrow embroidery is simply to tap it dry after bathing instead of rubbing and to avoid picking at the area should it itch a little during the healing process. We advise no exercising to minimize sweating for the best color retention results.

Will there be any downtime for eyebrow embroidery?

Thankfully, there isn’t! However, in the first week after embroidery, we would advise for you to avoid swimming and carrying out any strenuous exercises that will cause you to sweat as that will affect colour retention efficiency. Do also take note not to rub your brow area with your face towel after cleansing or bathing and simply dab them lightly to dry.

Apart from that, you can apply makeup and go on with your activities as usual.

How long does it take for the embroidery to heal?

There will be slight scabbing during the first 3 days and we highly advise no exercising to prevent sweating in the first week. Your embroidery should heal nicely in a week and it’s would be the best time to assess your eyebrow embroidery results for a redo now that the extent of your colour retention is clear.

How long will your eyebrow embroidery last?

While we use top grade tools and products for our embroidery services, the durability of our embroidery also largely depends on the customer’s lifestyle habits, products they apply as well as their skin type.

For instance, moisturized skin helps to retain colours better while oily skin or the constant application of sunblock products will greatly discount the ability of colour retention. Please be reminded that bleaching agents such as whitening creams and laser treatments will lighten the brow and shorten the lifespan of the embroidery

On the average, our eyebrow embroidery is able to last 1 to 2 years and beyond 2 years for customers who take really good care in maintaining their skincare and brows.

Do you offer brow alteration services and is it painful?

Badly done brows suffer from three key issues.

1) the colour is too light, dark or patchy due to the pigments used
2) the shape of the brows is too thin, thick, straight or arched such that they do not suit the face shape
3) the brows are not symmetrical

First Any of the above mentioned issues would mean that the brows look unnatural.

Yes, we do offer brow and embroidery alteration services. However, more advice can only be given upon a face-to-face consultation or at least the viewing of customers’ photos sent to us for assessment. The face-to-face consultation will always help to provide the most accurate assessment to advise the suitability of the alteration.

The success of fixing the eyebrow depends on what kind of damage and the degree of damage done. Reference for eyebrow botched job articles:

The intensity of the treatments also depends on how much alteration work has to be done and if customer can accept a longer waiting time as we can always adjust our alteration services to be more efficient but less comfortable vs being less invasive and more comfortable but prolonging the entire alteration process.

However, do rest assured that we use only quality numbing products and customers have also been known to fall asleep during our treatments. On top of that, patch tests and numbing cream tests are always available at the salon for you to better manage any discomfort.

What precautionary measures does Browtisan put in place in response to COVID-19?

- We sanitise our salon 3 times a day.

- Sanitizers are readily and easily available in-salon, along with Covid-19 Safe Entry measures.

- Tools and work stations are sanitised and we mainly use one-use supplementary items such as disposable gloves, blades, needles, wipes etc.

Do I need to book ahead or do you accept walk-ins?

If they are seeking services that require longer consultation and service times such as eyebrow embroidery, eyeliner embroidery, eyelash extensions to name a few, we strongly encourage them to book their appointments so as to ensure that we can secure a Brow or Lash Artisan for them.

Will I be provided with sanitiser in the salon?

Yes, they are readily and easily available in-salon.

Am I required to take my temperature at the door, before going into the salon?
